Mentors for the girls, connecting them on digital platforms

In the process of launching one the proposed initiative called, Safe Spaces for Girls geared towards providing mentors for the girls, connecting them on digital platforms and setting up an innovation center to acquire digital, leadership and economical skills. We are looking for donors, funding partners to join us on this journey of equipping youths and young girls in Battor and beyond.

Participatory research in the Battor community

In order to streamline our programs subject to impacts and development, we organized a participatory research in the community of operation (Battor) with stakeholders, mostly high school students, Junior School Students, teachers, youths and some elders on the #ProjectDiscovery2019. Leading to the proposed intervention programs for the community, ie. Digital Academy, Football Academy, Agriculture Academy and STEM Academy to harness talents.

Award tuition fee and upkeep scholarship to the Winner

Collaborated with Threads by Foundation in Tennessee, USA, to award tuition fee and upkeep scholarship to the winner (Mr. Francis Sosu, at Mepe St. Kizito SHTS) of the Mrs. Fedelia Adokailey Memorial Scholarship awarded to students with evidence of brilliance, voluntary experience, Leadership potential. Successfully launched the SDG awareness campaign with Battor Senior High School, Ada Senior High Technical School School, and Mepe St Kizito SHTS.

Donating food items, stationeries, wall paints & clothing

Launched our Support outreach program with Village of Hope Orphanage, Gomoa Fetteh. Donating food items, stationeries, wall paints and clothing. Mobilized the youths and children according their age group to participate in the reading clinic while others assisted in painting one of the homes.

Providing HIV screening

Collaborated with R.E.A.C.H and the Battor Catholic Hospital to pilot an adolescent reproductive health initiative by providing HIV screening for 50 students from the Battor senior high school, St. Dominic's JHS, Mepe St. Kizito Senior High Technical School, while providing them with personal hygiene and development skills.

Youthpreneurship program for Students

Moved to North-Tongu District, Battor, and launched Youthpreneurship for mostly students in Senior High School. 150 students received training on farming opportunities, innovation and personal development. Out of the 150 participants, several of the past students enrolled in different programs to learn a skill in neighboring communities.
Our long serving volunteer from Aveyime Battor Senior High is in 3rd year studying Agriculture Science at the University of Ghana.
